(1)Where there is delay in the assessment or payment of the amount payable under sub-section (1) of section 4, or the annuity payable under sub-section (3) of that section, the Government may direct payment of such amount as may be prescribed, by way of interim relief.Provided that if the amount payable under the said sub-section (1) or the annuity payable under the said sub-section (3), as the case may be, to a jenmi has not been determined in accordance with the provisions of this Act before the expiry of one year from the date of publication of the Kanam Tenancy Abolition Ordinance, 1975, in the Gazette, the Government shall, on the application of the jenmi concerned, direct the interim payment under this sub-section.
