Section 2(l) in The Orissa Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Fixation of Fee) Act, 2007
(l)"lateral entry" means admission of students in 2nd year of the course against seats which will be ten per centum of the approved intake of the first year of such course as per the guidelines of the All India Council for Technical Education;
