Section 146(i) in Code of Regulations for Anglo-Indian Schools-Tamil Nadu State
(i)In the case of new buildings, extensions, improvements or alterations, the Department must be convinced of their necessity and approve their character. Works commenced before obtaining the special permission of the Department will not be eligible for grant.
