Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for
issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to
construct the Panchayat Board Office in the place of Kandivakkam,
which is situated middle of Thulasapuram Panchayat, the vacant place
surrounded by present Government Library, Office of the Village
Administrative Office, Magalir Suya Vudavi Kuzhu Building, Village
Panchayat Union Elementary School, Ration Shop, as per the
petitioner's representation dated 11.07.2025.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Prayer for issuance of writ of mandamus to restrain/forbear the official respondents from constructing a Panchayat Board Office and seeks to develop the playground, cannot be granted.
2. Where should a panchayat building be located and if so, to what extent any open public land should be earmarked for playground are entirely matter for consideration of the respondent authorities and not for the Court.
3. Petition is dismissed. This will not come in the way of the petitioner and other representatives to explore the possibility of having a playground in the area. There shall be no order as to costs.
