460R. Schedule of permanent officers and servants to be prepared by General Manager and sanctioned by [Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Committee] [These words were substituted for the words 'Mayor-in-Council' by Maharashtra 27 of 1999, Section 176, (w.e.f. 23-4-1999).].
(1)The General Manager shall, from time to time, prepare and bring before the [Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Committee] [These words were substituted for the words 'Mayor-in-Council' by Maharashtra 27 of 1999, Section 176, (w.e.f. 23-4-1999).] a schedule setting forth the designations and grades of the officers and servants, who should, in his opinion, be permanently maintained for the purposes of the [Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking] [These words were substituted by Maharashtra 25 of 1996, (w.e.f. 4.9.1996).], and the amount and nature of the salaries, fees and allowances which he proposes should be paid to each.(2)The [Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Committee] [These words were substituted for the words 'Mayor-in-Council' by Maharashtra 27 of 1999, Section 176, (w.e.f. 23-4-1999).] shall sanction such schedule either as it stands or subject to such modifications as they deem expedient:Provided that-(a)no new permanent post of which the aggregate emoluments exceed [ten thousand rupees] [These words were substituted for the wards 'four hundred rupees' by Maharashtra 17 of 2012, Section 9 (w.e.f. 4-8-2012).] per mensem shall be created without the sanction of the corporation; and(b)the corporation may by resolution direct that the scales of pay of any specified classes or grades of officers or servants shall not be varied without the approval of the corporation and, so long as such resolution is in force, the [Brihan Mumbai Electric Supply and Transport Committee] [These words were substituted for the words 'Mayor-in-Council' by Maharashtra 27 of 1999, Section 176, (w.e.f. 23-4-1999).] shall not authorise an variation in such scales without such approval.
