Section 12(4) in The Kerala Protection of River Banks and Regulation of Removal of Sand Act, 2001

(4)Removal of sand shall be permitted only from the reverbed and no sand removal operation shall be done within [15] [Substituted '10' by Act No. 15 of 2013, dated 7.3.2013] metres of the river bank.
