Section 200 in Meghalaya Municipal Act, 1973

200. Inspection of latrines, etc.

- The Board, or any person authorised by it in that behalf may inspect all latrines urinals, cess-pools, drains and other receptacles for sewage or other offensive matter at any time between sunrise and sunset, after six hours' notice in writing to the occupier of premises in which such latrines, urinals, cess-pool, drains or receptacles are situated, and may if necessary cause the ground to be opened here if or he may think fit for the purpose of preventing or removing any nuisance arising from such latrines, urinals, cess-pools, drains or receptacles, and the expenses thereby incurred, if the Board so requires, shall be paid by the owner or occupier of such premises. The expense of causing the ground to be closed and made good as before shall be borne by the Board,
