Section 223(1) in Siliguri Municipal Corporation Act, 1990
(1)In any case in which the erection of a building, or any other work connected therewith has been commenced or is being carried on unlawfully having regard to the provisions of this Chapter, the Corporation may, by written notice, require the person carrying on such erection or unlawful work to discontinue the same forth-with, pending further proceedings in respect of such unauthorized construction.
