Section 11(8) in THE COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACT, 1986
(8)The Vice-Chancellor shall be the Chairman of the Syndicate, the Senate and the Academic Council, and shall be entitled to be present at and to address any meeting of any authority of the University, but shall not be entitiled to vote thereat unless he is a member of the authority concerned.
