Section 12(1) in The Orissa Subordinate Statistics and Economics Service Rules, 1994
(1)Every person shall, on appointment to a post in the service, be on probation for a period of two years in case of appointment made by direct recruitment, and one year in the case of appointment made by promotion, which shall be calculated from the date of actual joining in the post.
