Section 2(i) in The U.P. Electricity Supply (Consumers) Regulations, 1984

(i)'Power Factor' means-

(i)in a single phase circuit, the ratio of the watts to volt-amperes,

(ii)in a three phase circuit, the ratio of total watts to the total volt-amperes;
