Seventeenth Loksabha > Title: Request for the execution of work of six-lane Chitradurga-Davangere-Haveri Section of the National Highways by the NHAI Phase-V in the State of Karnataka.
SHRI G. M. SIDDESHWAR (DAVANAGERE): Sir, I would like to draw the attention of the hon. Minister of Road Transport and Highways, through you, towards the execution of work of six-lane Chitradurga-Davangere-Haveri Section by the NHAI under the NHDP Phase-V in the State of Karnataka.
The Highways Authority has made a lot of mistakes while making four lanes between Chitradurga, Davangere and Haveri. The project for construction of RUBs at Lakkamuthenahalli, Halavarthy, Mallashettihalli, H. Kalpanahalli, Hosa Kunduvada village and the area near Chidodi Lila Circle for Davangere City Entry has not been considered by the Project Director. I urge upon the Union Government to take up this project also for execution.
In this regard, I met the concerned officers several times but no response has been received from them so far. Keeping the above in view, I urge upon the Union Government to issue necessary instructions to the Highways Authority to provide suitable remedial measures to take up the work of six-lane highway project which is already mentioned in my letter in the best interest of the people, at the earliest.
