Section 1 in The Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Suppression of Immoral Traffic in Women and Girls Act, 1956.(2)It extends to the whole of India.(3)This section shall come into force at once; and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
