In theses rules: -(i)"Act" means the Assam Home Guards Act, 1947 (Act XXIV of 1947).(ii)"Standing Orders" mean the general orders issued as such by the Commandant General in respect of any matters in which he is authorised by the Act or the rules to make such orders.(iii)"Area" means a Subdivision or a part of a District for the purpose of the Act and Rules.
