Section 24B(18) in Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1966
(18)Loudspeaker poles shall be provided to serve one motor car each on either sides of the pole. The distance between the two poles in a row shall not be less than 6 metres. The poles for loudspeaker shall be embedded on a concrete base, and shall have a light over them so as to indicate their position. The light shall be at the side of the poles turned away from the screen :Provided that, it shall not be necessary to provide a pole with loudspeaker for each motor car if alternative arrangement is made for the transmission of sound to the satisfaction of the licensing authority.
