- Any Irrigation officer authorised in this behalf and any person acting under his general or special order may enter upon any land, building or water-course, for the purpose of inspecting and regulating the use of water, and measuring the land, irrigated thereby, or chargeable with a water tax, and for the proper regulation and maintenance of any irrigation work from which such water is supplied and also for doing other necessary work.
