Section 9 in The Calcutta Hackney-Carriage Act, 1919
9. License for carriage. -
(1)The Registering Officer shall, at the time of registration, upon payment of such fee as may be fixed by by-law made under clause (f) of section 71, deliver a license, duly signed by him, to the owner of every hackney-carriage.(2)Such license shall, if not cancelled or suspended, continue in force for one year from the first day of the month in which the carriage is registered.
