(1)When it is intended to reopen a mine or seam after abandonment, closure or discontinuance for a period exceeding sixty days, the owner, agent or manager shall, not less than thirty days before resumption of mining operations, give to the Chief Inspector, the Regional Inspector and to the District Magistrate notice in the Form and method as may be specified by the Chief Inspector for the purpose.
