- The [Chairman] [Substituted by the West Bengal Act 13 of 1995, w.e.f. 5.9.1995 for 'Board of Councilors'.] may temporarily close the whole or any part of a public street to permit development and maintenance work, and may, subject to such conditions as may be determined by the [Chairman] [Substituted by the West Bengal Act 13 of 1995, w.e.f. 5.9.1995 for 'Board of Councilors'.], authorise such closure for other purposes for any period not exceeding a month.
