Prayer made in the instant petition is for the protection of life and liberty of the petitioners, which is stated to be in danger at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 to 8, the family members of petitioner No.1. The petitioners have contracted marriage on 17.9.2012 (Annexure P-3) against the consent of their parents. As per the documents Annexures P1 and P2, the petitioners are major. They are apprehending their arrest by the police.
Both the petitioners have appeared in person and made a statement that they are major.
Notice of motion.
At the asking of the Court, Mr.Luvinder Sofat, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.
Copy of the paper book has been handed over to the learned State counsel in the Court.

In the circumstances, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2- Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar to look into the representation Annexure P-5 and take all necessary steps in accordance with law.
