Section 57I(1) in The Orissa Municipal Delimitation of Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election Rules, 1994
(1)As soon as practicable after the closing of the poll, the [Presiding Officer] [Substituted vide O.G.E. No. 1106 dated 7.6.2008.] shall close the control unit to ensure that no further vote can be recorded and shall detach the balloting unit from the control unit.
