Section 61 in Jammu and Kashmir Panchayati Raj Act, 1989
61. Youthful offenders.
- Subject to the provisions of section 562 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, Samvat 1989, a Panchayati Adalat may, instead of passing sentence, discharge, after due admonition an offender who in its opinion was on the date of the commission of offence not over [eighteen years of age] [Substituted 'fifteen years of age' by Act No. 20 of 2018, dated 16.10.2018.].
