SHRI S. MUNISWAMY (KOLAR): I request the Government to consider linking of Palar-Pennar and Krishna River Basins by inter-linking of Krishna river to Palar river. The water of river Krishna flows close to the borders of Kolar district and is available at a distance of about 5-15 kms at multi-points along the district border. About 6.7 TMC of water is the annual drinking water requirement for the district and this could be provided by inter-linking these rivers.
