58. Statistics of work to be got ready for Inspecting Officers.
- Inspection will be useful if statistics of the work of an office be prepared before-hand for the inspecting officer in such forms as may be prescribed; or, if answer to statistical question be prepared before-hand. This will also give the inspecting officer more time for examination and disposal of matters of importance and difficulties. Comparison of statistics for similar districts will sometime enable an inspecting officer to discover defects of practice and procedure and to suggest improvements.
