Section 68 in The Bengal Irrigation Act, 1876

68. Canal-officer to fix rent of village-channel.

- The canal-officer shall also fix a sum as rent to be paid for the use of such village-channel to the owner.Such rent may be in the form of percentage on the water-rate of the person using village-channel, or otherwise, as may be fixed by the canal-officer.
