Section 12 in The Negotiable Instruments (Amendment And Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 2002
12. Amendment of section 1.- In the Information Technology Act, 2000 (21 of 2000 ) (hereinafter in this Chapter referred to as the principal Act), in section 1, in sub- section (4), for clause (a), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-" (a) a negotiable instrument (other than a cheque) as defined in section 13 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of 1881 );".
