28. Military duty to count for pension.
- Notwithstanding anything in these rules and notwithstanding anything contained in the pension rules made or deemed to be made by the State Government, a member of the service, who was deputed from military duty, shall be entitled to count the periods spent on military duty for purpose of pension, if he/she would have counted for that purpose his/her service in the civil department but for his/her deputation for military duty.Explanation. - This rule shall, in its application to a member who has been or may be called to or employed in service paid for from Defence Services Estimates, be subject to the condition specified in the letter of the Government of India, War Department (Army Branch) to the Adjutant - General in India, No.11008/AGAINST - 14(a), dated the 11th June, 1944, recorded in G.O.Ms.No.465, Finance, dated 6th September, 1944.
