5. Recruitment to the Force
The recruitment of the subordinate officers and members of the Force shall be done by the UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board which shall exercise such powers as may be prescribed in the rules made under section 17 which shall be in accordance with general rules made by the Personnel Department of the State Government.
