Section 47(1) in Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies Act, 2010
(1)Subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, the University shall carry out research throughout the State primarily in allied fields for the purpose of encouraging fish farmers and for the benefit of the Fishermen Community of the State and shall, for this purpose, establish Fisheries and Ocean Studies Research Centres.
