Section 12(1) in The Inland Waterways Authority Of India Rules, 1986
(1)the Vice-Chairman shall, subject to any regulations made under Section 35, exercise the powers of granting extension of service to, granting leave to, suspending, reducing, compulsorily retiring, removing of any other question relating to the service of any officer or employee of the authority, including the power of dispensing with the service of any such officer or employee otherwise than by reason of the misconduct of such employee.
