Section 56(1) in The Orissa Municipal Delimitation of Wards, Reservation of Seats and Conduct of Election Rules, 1994
(1)Subject to Rule 53 the [Presiding Officer] [Substituted vide O.G.E. No. 1106 dated 7.6.2008.] shall close, the polling station at the hour appointed for closing under Rule 24 or Sub-rule (4) of Rule 54 as the case may be, so as to prevent the admission thereto of any elector after that hour.
