(2)Agriculture including Agriculture Extension. - (a) identification and implementation of schemes not exceeding rupees two lakhs and not below rupees fifty thousand for the agricultural development of the Anchalik Panchayat area with technical assistance and supervision from the Department of Agriculture, Co-operative and Irrigation etc;(b)maintenance of agricultural seeds farms horticultural nurseries;(c)Storing and distribution of insecticides and pesticides;(d)propagation of improved methods of cultivation;(e)promotion of cultivation and marketing of vegetable, fruits and flowers;(f)training of farmers and extension activities.
