Section 5(1) in The Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council Act, 1988
(1)The General Council shall consist of forty-two [Councillors] [Word substituted by W.B. Act 3 of 1994.] of whom two-thirds shall be elected, on the basis of adult suffrage, from the territorial constituencies referred to in section 6 and one-third shall be [nominated] [Word substituted by W.B. Act 3 of 1994.].
