Section 49 in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943

49. Duration of inspections. [§ 12, Act V, 1861].

- A thorough inspection of a police-station can never be made in a few hours and seldom in a day. In the cold weather a stay of three or four days should be made within the limits of each police-station; during the hot weather and rains the inspection of a police-station near which there is no proper accommodation may be spread over several visits. In dry districts Superintendents should try to finish their inspections before the cold weather so as to be free then to examine in the interior the matters enumerated in regulation 51(a).
