Section 65(2)(a) in Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1961

(a)The President shall be entitled without payment of rent, to the use of a residence, in the headquarters of the panchayat or with the previous sanction of the Sate Government at any other place in the taluka throughout his term of office and for a period of fifteen days immediately thereafter, or in lieu of such residence, a house allowance at such rate as the State Government may determine by a general or special order.
