The application shall stand disposed of.

W.P.(C) 5629/2022

1. The sole grievance which is voiced on the writ petition is a failure on the part of the respondent to dispose of a revision which was preferred by the petitioner here under Section 56(1) of Indian Stamp Act, 1899. The Court notes that the revision was filed in October 2018. It has, however, remained pending on the board of the Chief Controlling Revenue Authority [CCRA].

2. Learned counsel for the respondent apprises the Court that the powers of the CCRA have been delegated to the Divisional Commissioner by virtue of an order of 14 October 2021. In view of the aforesaid delegation having Signature Not Verified Digitally Signed By:NEHA Signing Date:06.04.2022 15:05:38 been recently made, the Court is apprised that the Divisional Commissioner is duly taking up all pending revisions and disposing them of.

3. In view of the above, this petition shall stand disposed of with a direction to the respondents to duly consider expeditious disposal of the pending revision. The Divisional Commissioner shall also endeavour and ensure that no unnecessary adjournments are granted.
