Section 40(7) in The Merchant Shipping (Fire Appliances) Rules, 1969
(7)For the purpose of determining the quantity of liquid carbon dioxide required to produce the volume of smothering gas required under these rules, 1 kg. of liquefied carbon dioxide shall be deemed to produce 0.56 cubic metres of gas.
