Section 55(9) in The Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954
(9)violates any rule made under this Act for breach whereof a penalty may be incurred;[shall be liable, on conviction before a Magistrate, to a fine not exceeding one hundred rupees, or to imprisonment not exceeding one month, or to both, for the first offence; and to a fine not exceeding five hundred rupees, or to imprisonment not exceeding three months, or to both, for a subsequent offence] [Substituted by Rajasthan Act 29 of 1992 w.e.f. 17-11-1992.].
