Section 966(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)A marksman's badge, consisting of a single rifle, worked in silver on blue or khaki cloth (according to the colour of the uniform), shall be given to every head constable, naik and constable who scores 75 per cent, or more of the possible and shall be worn for one year. It shall be neatly stitched horizontally on the left sleeve one inch above the cuff.
