Ministry of Rural DevelopmentG.S.R.495(E). - Whereas, the draft of certain rules to be called the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Audit of Schemes Rules, 2011 were published, in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, in exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 24 of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (42 of 2005), vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Rural Development number G.S.R. 307 (E), dated the 6th April, 2011 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), dated the 6th April, 2011 inviting objections and suggestions from persons likely to be affected thereby before the expiry of a period of thirty days from the date of the said notification in the Official Gazette;And whereas, the copies of the Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public on the 6th April, 2011;And whereas, objections and suggestions received from the public on the said draft rules have been considered by the Central Government;Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 24 of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 (42 of 2005), the Central Government, in consultation with the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
