(1)Strict silence shall be maintained at all times except when any enquiry or instructions relating to work are necessary and there shall be no talking, singing or quarrelling in the wards at night:Provided that prisoners undergoing simple imprisonment may converse together in their ward or place in a quiet and orderly manner except at parades, at exercise time and at night.(2)No prisoner shall be allowed to leave his bed for any purpose without first obtaining the permission of the Jail Guard. No prisoner shall sit or lie on any other prisoner's bed.
