(2)For rescinding the contract, a notice may be issued to the contractor intimating the date on which measurements of work done by him are to be recorded in his presence. On the date so fixed measurement shall be recorded in the presence of the contractor or in his absence, in the presence of witnesses and bills relating to works done is to be finalised on the basis of measurements so recorded.
