Section 341A(2) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(2)For every transitional area so specified under sub-section (1), there shall be constituted a Nagar Panchayat as provided in section 3418 which shall be known by the name of Nagar Panchayat. Every such Nagar Panchayat shall be a body corporate and shall have perpetual succession and a common seal with power to acquire, hold and dispose of property and to enter into contract and may by the said name sue and be sued.
