Section 12(vi) in Code of Regulations for Matriculation Schools, Tamil Nadu
(vi)Application for admission shall be made in the form prescribed in Annexure IV. The Principal may, at his discretion, demand valid birth certificate, at the time of admission. Baptism Certificate may be accepted as equal to birth certificate. The date of birth once entered will not be altered except when an obviously absurd entry has to be corrected or when a Civil Court directs correction in any individual case. In these cases, the corrections should be made only under the Director's orders and should be attested by the Inspector.
