The petitioner complains that, an application for release of capital investment subsidy is pending since 2013.

Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that, during the pendency of the writ petition, the respondent authorities entered into correspondence with each other. However, the respondents are yet to take a decision on the application for release of subsidy.

Union of India and the State are represented. Learned advocate for the State submits on instruction that, the State Government required information from the Union of India. He relies upon several correspondence in this regard. He submits that, till such time those information are not supplied, no decision can be taken under the relevant scheme.

In the facts of the present case, therefore, it would be appropriate to direct the respondent no. 4 to ensure that, authorities 2 under him, complies with the requisitions made by the State Government so far as the application for release of the capital investment subsidy is concerned as expeditiously as possible. The State Authorities are directed to take a decision on the application of the petitioner dated October 30, 2013 as expeditiously as possible. The authorities will do so within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P. 17693(W) of 2018 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
