Section 40(1) in The U.P. Transit of Timber and Other Forest Produce Rules, 1978
(1)Any person, who contravenes the provisions of the rules contained in this Chapter, shall be liable to imprisonment for either description for a term which may extend to one year or to a fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or both.
