Information sought:
The Appellant filed an RTI Application dated 10.01.2020 seeking information on the following two points:Page 2 of 6
CIC/EPFOG/A/2021/101163 Having not received any information from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 01.07.2020. The First Appellate Authority vide order dated 01.10.2020, informed as under:
Grounds for Second Appeal:
The Appellant filed a Second Appeal u/s 19 of the Act on the ground of unsatisfactory reply furnished by the Respondent. Appellant requested the Commission to direct the CPIO to provide complete information sought for.
Submissions made by Appellant and Respondent during Hearing:
The Appellant did not participate in the hearing, however informed the registry of this bench after hearing was concluded, stating his inability to participate in the hearing due to unexpected demise of his brother.Page 3 of 6
CIC/EPFOG/A/2021/101163 The Respondent submitted that the reply to the instant RTI Application has been furnished to Appellant vide letter dated 06.02.2020 and the contents of the same are as under:
The Respondent further submitted that the Appellant is having wrong apprehension with regards to his Provident Account, as the same has never been settled and no cheque has ever been deposited to settle the said pension amount. The Respondent further submitted that if the Appellant wishes to settle the said amount he may do so by filing claim form 10C/10D as the case may be for withdrawal of his pension benefits.
A written communication has been sent to the Appellant by Shri. Brij Mohan Singh, Regional Provident Fund Commisisoner-II vide letter dated 09.06.2022, wherein the Appellant has been informed as under:Page 4 of 6

Decision:
Upon perusal of the facts on record as well as on the basis of the proceedings during the hearing, the Commission observes that the Respondent has appropriately attended the instant RTI Application within a stipulated time frame and an adequate explanation has also been provided to the Appellant vide communication dated 09.06.2022. In view of the above observation, the Commission finds no further scope of intervention in the instant matter. With the above observations, the instant Second Appeal is disposed of. Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
The Appeal, hereby, stands disposed of.
