79. Drainage of Roofs.
- The roof of every building shall drain into gutters shoots or throughs and shall be carried down through adequate number of down pipes without causing dampness in any part of the wall or foundation of the building or any adjacent building :Provided that in the case of detached or semi-detached building not exceeding one storey in height rain water pipe, khasi or concealed parnallas may be provided for so long as these do not discharge into any public road, footpath or on private land of adjoining owners.
