Section 51(b) in The Orissa Municipal Employees' Pension Rules, 1989
(b)If one of the family pension ceases to be payable at the rate mentioned in Rule 45 and in lieu thereof the pension at the rate mentioned in Rule 44 becomes payable the amount of both the pensions shall also be limited to Rs.500 (five hundred only) per mensem.
