1 Petitioner is before this Court against the action of the respondents in withdrawing the benefit granted to the petitioner placing him in D-II list recognizing services rendered by the petitioner.

2 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is an Officers Committee in place constituted under the orders passed by this Court in the case of Ranjit Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others in CWP No.566 of 2010 wherein the matters of similarly situated personnels are being considered/re-considered, examined/re-examined and he would be satisfied if the respondents are directed to place the case of the petitioner before the said Committee.

3 Learned State counsel submits that the State has never shown inhibition in referring the matter of the petitioner to the said Officers Committee.

CWP No. 21045 of 2019 (O&M) 2 2023: PHHC:075164 4 In view of the aforesaid facts, present writ petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2 to order placing of the case of the petitioner before the Officers Committee constituted in terms of directions issued by this Court in Ranjit Singh's case (supta). The Committee shall examine the case of the petitioner in accordance with law and decide the same within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

5 Petition stands disposed off.
